You can use a black or brown eyeliner pencil but if you want a smoky effect, you can combine both colors.

In preparing your false eyelashes, always take note of the width of the lash bands. If needed, shorten them accordingly to the width of your lash line. You can either use a pair of scissors or just snipped out the outer edges to achieve your desired width. Flexing your lash bands can be helpful as well for your eyelids to be conformed to it.
