How to Apply Lipstick - Applying Lipstick

How to Apply Lipstick - Applying Lipstick

LIPSTICK is one of the easiest and quickest ways to transform your appearance. You don't need to co-ordinate your lip colour with your nail polish or wardrobe, but you may want to take into consideration what you are wearing. It is essential to ensure that your lip colour blends with the rest of your make-up look and also complements your skin tone.
Those with olive complexions should opt for colours with warm undertones to brighten the skin, such as light brown, raisin or brown reds, like blackberry and wine. Those with fair complexions need lip colours with warm peach or pink undertones, while those with pale complexions can wear almost any colour, using dramatic shades to make a strong beauty statement.
Dark complexions look best with deep reds with dark blue or purple undertones or deep browns with purple, blue or wine undertones. Lipstick usually comes in a tube and can be applied directly to the lips. You should prefer, however, to use a lipstick brush which touches the lipstick and can then be applied to your lips (it gives you more control). You can also use a lip liner pencil to outline my lips before applying the lipstick.

FINDING THE FORMULATION FOR APPLYING LIPSTICK

To test-run a new shade, don't try it on the back of your hand. Instead, dab it on to your fingertip, where the colour of the skin is closest to that of your lips. This can also be held near your mouth, to see if the colour suits you. Once you have found the correct shade, you need to consider the effect you are after.
Glossy finishes give sheer coverage but need to be reapplied frequently. Matt finishes give great coverage but have a tendency to be drying on the lips and can look very flat; to overcome this, look for demi-matt finishes, which dry to a more flattering finish. Creamy finishes create opaque coverage with a hint of shine and come enriched with conditioners, making them a suitable choice if your lips are prone to dryness. Sheer lipsticks give the lips a subtle wash of colour, similar to lip gloss, but are longer-lasting.
They are ideal as lightweight options to wear during the summer. Up gloss has a tendency to glide on and slide off within hours of application.
To help it stay put, prime the lips with a lip pencil in the shade closest to the natural colour of the lips. Then apply gloss to the centre of the top and bottom lip and purse the lips together. This creates the illusion of all-over shine without the problem of disappearing gloss.

SHAPING UP YOUR LIPSTICK

If you apply lipstick without a brush, after a while it will acquire a shape. Experts have linked these shapes with personality types. If your lipstick has flat, this is an indication that you're a relaxed, sporty person who loves the outdoor life.
If the tip is rounded, this shows that you're gentle and romantic. If it's worn to a strong, slanted edge, this means that you are articulate and well balanced. And if it's shaped like the top of a whistle (curved in at the sides, going up to a central tip), this means you're outgoing, with a dominating personality.

How to Apply Lipstick

If you want to wear a dark lipstick but doubt your application skills, use your fingertip and dab it on so the pigment stains the skin, then coat with lip gloss .To avoid leaving lipstick marks on glasses and cups, discreetly lick the rim before drinking. If lipstick always ends up on your teeth, place your middle finger in your mouth, pout and withdraw the finger.
If you are pushed for time, avoid wearing dark or bright lipsticks as they need precision application and use gloss or a neutral-toned lipstick instead. If your lipstick has a tendency to bleed or feather into fine lines around the mouth, use a lip liner to shade the entire lip area before applying lipstick; also, wearing a lipstick that dries to a matt finish should help. Avoid wearing lipsticks with a frosted finish as you get older, since these will only highlight any lines around the mouth.
Do not use just to outline the lips - this looks very dated and you could be left with a unsightly line when your lipstick wears off - but to define and shade the entire lip area. This acts as a fixative for lipstick and ensures that your lip colour will fade evenly.
For a natural look, apply in a series of small feathered strokes around the outer edges of the lips, then blend with the fingertips and shade over the lips with the liner.
If your lips are dry, making the liner hard to manoeuvre, coat them with lip balm first and blot with a tissue before applying lip liner. You do not need to buy different-coloured lip liners to match different lipstick shades. Rather, choose one similar to your natural lip colour and use this to shade and define the lips.

How to Apply Foundation

How to Apply Foundation - CHOOSING FOUNDATION

Applied properly, foundation can make any complexion seem healthy and flawless. The aim is to leave the How to Apply Foundationskin looking as natural and unmade-up as possible. Before you start, think hard about your complexion, as you may not need to apply base over the entire face.
When choosing a foundation, take into consideration your skin type, the amount of coverage you require and the kind of finish you are after. And remember, foundation is one of those products you wear every day, so making the right investment at the beginning will pay off.
The word foundation means exactly that: It is the foundation, the basis, of your makeup routine. If it isn't right, your whole look may be off. Foundations are either oil or water based. Some skin experts will tell you that if you have oily skin, you should use a water-based foundation, and if you have dry skin, use an oil-based one.
It is important to choose a foundation similar in color to your own skin. This is really easy-it is a matter oftrial and error, and will take at the most an hour of your time in a department store or makeup center. Try one color on the inside of your wrist (never on your face-that is a good way to spread bacteria) and walk around for a few minutes. Now look at the shade again, and then try another one. It is well worth the time to find a foundation that will look good on you.
If you think you will be interested in contouring and or highlighting your features, you need to buy another foundation a shade lighter than the one that matches your skin, and one that is three shades darker than your basic color. Again, a good cosmetician or a salesperson in a cosmetics department can help you choose the colors you will need.

SHOPPING FOR FOUNDATION

To find the perfect foundation for your particular colouring, apply three suitable shades in strips across the cheek and jawbone. You are looking for the one that literally disappears into the skin. Your foundation should blend with the skin tone of the neck and not the face, as this is where it has to work down to. If you can't find the correct colour, custom-blended foundations are available.
When you try a new shade, check it in natural light. You should always aim to apply your make-up in daylight, so if this is not going to be possible invest in a natural daylight bulb (these can be found in lighting stores and some professional make-up outlets).
When trying a new foundation, always wait fifteen minutes before reaching a decision as the oil on your skin and the air can conspire to darken the shade you have chosen.

FOUNDATION ESSENTIALS

When looking for a new foundation, bear in mind that it should contain a sun protection factor of at least 15 for daily use. This should then be increased in summer, as the sun is responsible for 10 per cent of premature ageing. Antioxidants will also help protect the skin from visible signs of ageing, and light-reflecting pigments will give a flattering finish, taking attention away from any dark circles and sallow-looking areas, while adding instant luminosity.

SKIN TYPES FOR CHOOSING FOUNDATION

If you have sensitive skin, look for formulations which do not contain potential irritants such as fragrance, chemical sunscreens and alpha hydroxyl acids. Mature, dry skins will benefit from rich, creamy foundations which contain emollients to boost the skin's moisture content and antioxidants to protect from environmental damage.
Oily, problem skins will benefit from oil-free formulations which are enriched with oil absorbers to keep unsightly shine at bay. Normal skins can wear any sort of foundation. In hot, humid weather, every skin type will benefit from an oil-free foundation.

HOW TO APPLY FOUNDATION - EXPERT ADVICE

To apply foundation, start from the centre of the face, dotting on to the cheeks and forehead and blending outwards, first making sure your fingertips or make-up sponges are spotlessly clean. Gently blot the skin with a tissue to remove any excess product or surface oil. Never drag the skin if you are using your fingertips to apply cosmetics.
Smooth foundation over the lips and eyelids to act as a base for lip and eye products. If you're not very good at blending foundation, try applying it with a make-up sponge. After smoothing on, moisten the fingertips and then work over the neckline to remove any signs of haphazard application.

How to Apply Eye shadow

How to Apply Eye shadow

EYESHADOW should always glide on smoothly, and can be used to subtly change or enhance the shape of the eyes, to add simple definition or to make a strong impact, depending on your choice of colour. When applying eye shadow, sweep the lightest shade across the entire area from lash line to brow. This serves as a base to the other eye shadow colors much like a foundation for the rest of the face. A medium color can be applied on the lower part of the lid. The darkest shade can be skillfully used to create depth.
A wonderful eye shadow tip for women who want to make their eyes appear closer is to emphasize the inner corners of the eyes. A light eye shadow over the entire eyelid followed by a medium color on the inner half of the eyelid can create a pleasing effect. Some women prefer to apply eye shadow with a damp brush or applicator. This helps in intensifying the color. Powder eye shadows come in singles or color coordinated sets. Cream eye shadows can be coordinated with powder eye shadows. It is also useful to disguise the blueness many of us have on the skin on our eyelids.
EYE SHADOW is a cream or a powder that comes in many colors and textures and is used to accentuate your eyes. You should prefer powder shadows because it is easier to control the application with a brush. It is a good idea to start with a neutral beige shadow, a brown one, a pink one and a dark purple. These are fairly neutral tones that will look natural and enhance any eyes.
Eyeshadow is applied to draw attention to the eye which accounts for many shades of purple, blue, green, yellow and orange color that comes in and out of fashion. Choose an eyeshadow color that matches your dress, eye color and face makeup. Eye shadow adds depth and dimension to one's eyes, compliments the eye color, or simply draw attention to the eyes. The effect of eyeshadow usually brings out glamorous and attention bringing out the eyes. After applying your base color, apply a medium shade on the lower lid. This is the part of the eye that most women apply eyeshadow. Dust eyeshadow along the socket line and outer corners of the eyes, but do not shade the eyelid heavily. Avoid wearing eyeliner on the upper lash line and steer clear of dark eyeshadow, as this will make the eyes appear smaller than they are.
CREAM VS POWDER
Whether you wear cream or powder formulations of eye shadow is down to personal preference. Cream-to-powder eye shadows are easy to apply, as they can be literally swept over the eyelid in one stroke, but they have the disadvantage of gliding off again within hours of application or of creasing in the eyelid. To improve the staying power of cream eye shadow, try setting It with a light dusting of translucent powder While powder eye shadows do tend to stay put, they require greater precision in application. Older skins will benefit from the use of powder eye shadows.

Applying Eye Shadow Facts and Tips

When you select colours, remember that dark ones deepen or hollow features, while light ones will make the eyes stand out. Choose bright colours carefully. They can look great but they draw attention instantly to the eyes and run the risk of looking unnatural, unless the face is balanced with other suitable make-up products. Don't be put off by eye shadow colours before you have apply them, as most will appear more intense in the palettes than they actually are.
Experiment with bright shades, but use them as a wash over the eyelids to add a subtle hint of colour. You don't need to wear colours that match the colour of your ins, but it's a good idea to select shades which will accentuate your natural colouring. For those with blue eyes, try liner in brown or navy and avoid wearing blue eyeshadow. Green eyes stand out when shaded with khaki and brown shades with yellow undertones. Very dark brown eyes can wear almost any colour but look especially striking with browns, charcoal and mahogany. Finally, grey/green eyes are enhanced by charcoal and black.
Eyeshadow Application Tips
If you wear glasses, take into consideration the type of lenses you have when you are selecting make-up. If you are short-sighted, corrective lenses will magnify your eyes, so unless you have naturally small eyes wear muted or natural shades of eyeshadow. If you are longsighted, your lenses will make your eyes appear smaller, so use eyeshadow to strengthen them. Dust eyeshadow along the socket line and outer corners of the eyes, but do not shade the eyelid heavily. Avoid wearing eyeliner on the upper lash line and steer clear of dark eyeshadow, as this will make the eyes appear smaller than they are. Also, frames will cast a shadow on the face, so disguise any darkness with a concealer one shade lighter than your foundation.

How to Apply Eyeshadow

Make-up artists recommend that, when you are wearing eyeshadow, you should pile on extra loose powder under the eyes to catch any stray particles of eyeshadow. After shading the eyes, this can be removed by dusting off with a large make-up brush. After application, if you feel your choice of eyeshadow is too intense, tone the colour down by dusting with face powder or gently wipe a foundation sponge over the eyelid to make the overall effect more subtle. To ensure that your eyeshadow is long-lasting and crease-proof, make-up artists advise application with a damp make-up brush. As the eyeshadow is blended into the skin, it will dry. Also, because the product will cling to the wet brush, stray particles of powder will not collect on the cheeks.
1. Apply a light color over your entire eye lid from lash line to brow. Use a large flat eye shadow brush. Always use good quality brushes.
2. The second step is to apply a medium shadow color on your lower lid from lash line to the crease of your eye. Use a fluff brush.
3.The third step is to use your darkest color as a liner and apply along your lash line. To insure shadow will not flake, dampen your eyeliner brush before applying shadow. This will make it last longer.

Eyeliner Application

How to Apply Eye Liner - Eyeliner Application

EYELINER Application requires a steady hand, If you find it difficult to apply liner with precision, try drawing it on using small feathered stokes and then blend with a fine-tipped brush or the point of a cotton bud. To make things easier, put a mirror on a flat surface and then work looking down into it. As an alternative to the visible pencil line on the eyes, try a join-thedots approach,
Dot pencil between the lashes and then run over the dots with a fine-tipped brush, If you do not have an eye pencil to hand, use a damp fine-tipped brush and paint on eyeshadow in a thin line. Eyeliners are used to give more definitions to the eye. They highlight the eyes and make the lashed look fuller and thicker. Eyeliners should be color coded with your eye shadow. Liquid eyeliner are the most popular forms but beginners may want to start with a pencil for easier coordination.
Eyeliners should be applied from the inner canvas to the outer with the  middle canvas being the  thickest. If you have naturally pale lashes but cannot reach the roots with a mascara wand, use liquid eyeliner, dabbing it on to cover them, It's worth investing in a white eyeliner: it could save the day on many occasions, If you're tired and your eyes don't look particularly sparkly, run a white pencil along the inner rim of the lower lash line,
You will instantly look more awake and the whites of your eyes will appear brighter. It can also make small eyes appear larger. Never lend eye pencils to other people, as this is one of the quickest ways to spread germs, If you have an eye infection, replace eye pencils and mascaras to avoid reinfecting the eyes, Sharpen pencils regularly to ensure that the points are clean.

How to Apply Concealer

How to Apply Concealer

If you do not have a flawless complexion, concealer will be one of the most valuable cosmetics in your quest How to Apply Concealerfor beauty perfection. It can be used to disguise broken capillaries, dark circles, pimples and blemishes, and to even out skin tone. For the best all-round coverage, opt for a stick concealer (creamy and liquid concealers can be quite oily and have a tendency to slide on and glide off, creasing on the face, whereas stick formulas will stay put).
A concealer is used to hide undereye circles. Choose a concealer close to the color of your skin; they usually come in three colorslight, medium and dark (whatever color you choose, make sure it is close to your skin color-and don't get white! That will result in your not only looking like an owl, but will actually accentuate the circles by making them very noticeable). Apply starting at the center of the area and move outward. While the concealer is still damp apply a loose powder on top to set, seal, and dry the concealer. Once these steps are completed you can decide weather of not to use foundation.
There are some concealers with other colors in them, which is useful for certain kinds of dark circles (for example, if you have very dark blue circles under your eyes, get a concealer with a touch of green in it). Whenever I use a concealer I make sure it is about three shades lighter than my regular foundation, because I then blend it with my foundation. Choosing the color of a concealer is personal, as long as you leave out that white.
The easiest concealers to apply are those in a wand because they are so creamy they can be applied smoothly, without stretching or pulling the skin (the skin under your eyes is very sensitive and can be stretched easily). Concealers that come in a small pot require you to dip your finger in them, something that is difficult to do if you have long nails (so use the outside tip of your nail).
The only drawback with them is that they can be more difficult to blend . To overcome this, work the stick up and down the back of your hand. The product will warm up, making it more pliable and so easier to use. Apply it with the fingertips so that It literally melts into the skin. Those with dry skin will need a concealer with emollients to counteract dryness, while those with oily, problem skins will need a concealer which stays put, is oil-free and contains antibacterial ingredients to help treat blemishes and spots.

HOW TO APPLY CONCEALER

To counteract blueness and dark circles under the eyes, go for a concealer with a yellow undertone that is one to two shades lighter than the colour of the skin itself. If concealer is being used to mask pimples, to even out skin tone or to tone down broken capillaries, ensure that the shade you choose has a yellow undertone (pinkish shades will only accentuate redness) and is a good match for the natural colour of your skin. Make-up artists advise testing concealer shades on the inside of the forearm.

CONCEALER APPLICATION

Always apply your concealer on top of foundation and before you add powder. If you try to do things the other way round, you might wipe the concealer off when applying your foundation. To disguise under-eye darkness, gently pat concealer under the eyes using the index finger. Exert only gentle pressure and blend outwards, taking care not to drag the skin.
To conceal bags under the eyes, put concealer on the shadow beneath the bag, not on the bag itself, otherwise you'll end up highlighting rather than hiding the problem. To cover up broken capillaries or uneven skin tone, you can either massage concealer into the skin or paint it on with a brush and blend with the fingertips. To touch out any blemishes or unsightly-looking spots, paint on concealer with a brush.
Remember to start at the centre of the imperfection and feather outwards.

APPLY CONCEALER - PROBLEM SOLVERS

If your concealer dries and cakes In fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes, try using an eye cream under the concealer; make sure you use only a small amount of concealer and opt for one with a matt finish to create the illusion of smooth skin.
To prevent the concealer highlighting a problem you're trying to hide, apply a light moisturizer as an undercoat. Allow It to soak in and then dab away any excess with a tissue. This will make the skin soft and more even to work on. For extra staying power, once you have applied concealer, especially over pimples, set with a light dusting of sheer powder. If concealed areas dry out and start to flake throughout the day, gently pat on a small amount of moisturizer.

CONCEALERS - COVERING SCARS

Scars or birthmarks can be disguised using heavy-duty concealers. As additional coverage is required, it's best to buy a preparation from a specialist makeup store, not a general cosmetic counter. Concealers designed for television will give great coverage and are available in water resistant and waterproof formulations to ensure they stay put In a range of different circumstances.

How to Apply Blush - Applying Blush

How to Apply Blush - Applying Blush

Step by Step guide to Applying Blush

Decide the color of blush you want to apply on your cheeks. For this check the color of your cheeks by pinching your cheeks and wait for a second or you can match your lip color.
Put the blush into the brush, taping off any excess or put a dab of gel on your fingers. Apply the blusher with a brush, on the cheek, in the shape of a triangle, tapering towards the temples. Blend it outwards and upwards. No lines of demarcation should be visible. It should not have a harsh effect, but rather lend the face a warm, soft glow.
Apply blush brush on apple of your cheeks and gently brush up your cheekbone towards your hairline. Dot cream blush beginning at the apple and blend up the cheekbone towards the hairline.
For a natural look, blend it well down your cheeks.
There are many different kinds of blush (sometimes known as rouge, but you love the word blush because the way you apply the color is to give the impression that you are blushing, that you have a flush of color).
Blush comes in powder, liquid or cream. I prefer a water based cream blush for the first application in the morning, and the powder blush for re-touching during the day, because the cream blush goes on smoothly, is absorbed nicely into your skin, and will last for some time, and you can put powder blush over it anytime during the day.
If you start out your day with powder blush, you cannot retouch with the cream because it will cake and/or blotch on your face. Always start by using a little blusher and gradually build color to get the desired effect. Remember, it is always easier to add more to get the vibrant look. Also, if you apply powder blush on skin that has only foundation on it, it may splotch-the moisture in your skin will grabm it in different places and it will be so spotty, chances are you'll have to start allover again.
Powder blush is most effective over a foundation and cream blush on an already powdered face.
As far as color is concerned, I have found that the best idea is to have one blush you can wear almost anytime and with everything. This is a blush that compliments your skin tone and is in the color range of your skin.
When choosing the cream blush and the powder blush, make sure that the cream is a shade darker than the powder because it will be absorbed into your skin and may come down a shade or two, whereas the powder blush will sit on your skin and hold its color. How to Apply Blush - Tips
Tip 1: Its best to apply blush knowing the shape of the face.
  • For a long, narrow face: Apply the color lesser than the lower edge of the cheekbone and keep the angle horizontal for such a face to create the width of the face.
  • For round, square face: Apply color in the middle of the face. Don’t get close on the nose.
  • For skin look clearer: Apply blusher to the apple of your cheeks. Blend it back but don’t go further than the corner of the eye.
Tip 2: Dusky pink blush warms up any tired looking skin.
Tip 3: Wash brushes regularly with a make up remover or non- soap cleanser.

Hair Loss in Men

Hair Loss in Men

The most common form of hair loss, striking 30 to 40 percent of men and women. Most men experience at least some extent of hair loss in their lifetime. Male hair loss is the most common type of hair loss. It is caused by increased sensitivity to male sex hormones (androgens) in irrefutable parts of the scalp, and is passed on from generation to generation. Alopecia or common male pattern baldness (MPB) accounts for more than 95% of hair loss in men. By the age of thirty-five two-thirds of American men will experience some degree of perceivable hair loss and by the age of 50 approximately 85% of men have significantly thinning hair. The hair loss is usually confined to a coin sized area and all the hair in the area is lost leaving a totally smooth round patch.

Plastic surgery can be the only trustworthy way to replace lost hair, and techniques for restoring hair growth are constantly improving. Chemotherapy and radiation treatment will cause hair loss as it pauses hair cells from dividing. Hairs become thin and break off as they exit the scalp. Spironolactone obstructs the action of the hormone aldosterone. Finasteride (Propecia) is a medicine taken in tablet form which partly barricades the effects of the male hormones.

Hair Loss in Children

Hair Loss in Children

Hair loss in children is more common than most people actualize. It is significant enough that approximately 2 Million children suffer from at least one form of Alopecia (hair loss) or another in the United States alone. Some newborns appear with enough hair to carpet a room, whereas others present with a shiny pate. Though most lose hair (sometimes all of it) over the first three months of life, some revive their birth endowment. Presently children's hair loss is responsible for about 3% of all pediatric office visits in this country. Children are subject to different causes of hair loss. The most common cause is a clear physiologic pause in hair growth. Termed "telogen" phase, the hair goes through spurs and lags in growth just as does the whole body.
During the rest facet between spurts, the bulb at the end of the hair root decreases in volume and the hair becomes loose. The tinea capitis infection is the most common reason of hair loss in children. Children with tinea capitis normally have patchy hair loss with some broken-off hairs viewable just above the surface of the scalp. The patches of hair loss are generally round or oval, but betimes irregular. Occassionally the hairs are broken right at the surface, and look like little black dots on the scalp. Alopecia areata is another common form of patchy hair loss in children. The typical story is the unexpected appearance of one or more totally bald areas in the scalp. The child with this situation loses hair in circular patches sometimes up to two inches in diameter.
Nearly 3% of paediatric office visits concern problems of hair loss in children. The main cause is possibly a fungal infection of the scalp, but not always. The emotional effects of hair loss are usually significantly more distressing on children than on adults. Trauma to the hair shaft is another common reason of hair loss in children. Usually the trauma is caused by traction or by friction annuling against a bed or wheelchair for example). It can also be due to chemicals burns. Another common cause of hair loss in children telogen effluvium. An individual hair follicle has a long growth phase, producing constantly growing hair for 2 to 6 years. In telogen effluvium, something happens to suspend this normal life cycle and to throw many or all of the hairs into the telogen phase.
Many different happenings can cause telogen effluvium, including, extremely high fevers and surgery under general anesthesia. Tinea capitis is generally cured with an antifungal, such as griseofulvin, which is taken by mouth for 8 weeks. Treatment for children's traction Alopecia is to handle the hair softly, as little as possible, and use natural hair styles. Alopecia areata is an capricious disease and even with complete remission it is possible for it to occur again during your child's life. Hair pulling is usually treated with cognitive/behavioral therapy or resting techniques, which can be very valuable. As long as the hair trauma was not serious or chronic sufficient to cause scarring, the hair will re-grow when the trauma is stopped.

Hair Loss Diet

Hair Loss Diet

Normal hair fall is nearly 100-125 hairs per day. Luckily, these hairs are replaced. Losing hair can be nerve-racking during a time when appearance really matters, but the good news is that hair loss that happens during the teen years is often temporary. Some medicines help in slowing or preventing common nudeness. Diets which lowers your testosterone levels would assist logically. Vitamin C helps in the absorption of iron. Hair loss because of thyroid disease is in the form of general thinning of the hair. Its patterns are not patchy or in any pattern, but typically increased shedding over the scalp. Many times, the hair loss will decrease or evanesce after the body has balanced itself, however it may take some time. There are two causes why people with thyroid disease experience hair loss.
The first has to do with the body's response to the disease. The other reason why people with thyroid disease suffer hair loss is due to their medications. Levothyroxine, also known as Synthroid, is a thyroid hormone alternate that many take who have thyroid disease. Post-partum thyroiditis is an inflammation of the thyroid gland which occurs following delivery, and it is appraised that this condition occurs in up to 20% of mothers. Women with Hashimoto's thyroiditis and Graves' disease have an increased incidence of post-partum thyroiditis, which may revert with subsequent pregnancies. First symptoms are small, soft, bald patches that can take just about any shape but are most normally round. There are several various treatment options for alopecia areata. The most common is cognizance. Steroid injections are commonly used in sites where there are small areas of hair loss on the head or specially where eyebrow hair has been lost. Minoxidil has been used to elevate hair growth and has shown cosmetically acceptable results in 30% of cases.
Minoxidil does not stop the disease process so belaying applications after hair has started to grow back can cause the hair to fall out again. Triamcinolone acetonide (Kenalog) is used most commonly. The most successful treatment to date has been immunotherapy. Immunotherapy works by enraging a contact allergic dermatitis in affected areas by applying a low concentration of a material to which the patient has been made allergic. This is most often diphenylcyclopropenone (diphencyprone). Avoid reinjecting areas of denting, that oftem is enough to allow atrophy to regress. Betamethasone dipropionate cream 0.05% (Diprosone) showed similar effectuality. Combination Hair Care Tips

Combination Hair Care Tips

Hair plays a major role in defining the personality of any human being. Hair is a filamentous outgrowth of protein, present only on mammals. Hair is a exceptionally tough material but over time abuse can wreak havoc with its natural properties. Hair is composed mainly of proteins (88%). These proteins are of a hard fibrous kind known as keratin. There are many different types of hair. There are curly ones and direct-falling ones. Some hair types are more prone to the assemblage of sebum (the natural oils that our skin secretes) than others, while some hair types are just naturally dry.
Combination hair is greasy at the roots but dry and sometimes disunion at the ends. Reasons of combination hair is over-exposure to sunlight ,overuse of heat-styling equipment ,such repeated abuse often stimulates a reaction in sebum secretion at the roots and a partial alteration in the scales, which can no longer fulfil their protective role.
The hair ends hence become dry. It is normally fairly long and the hair nearest the head is greasy awhile the ends are dry. If your hair is combination don't use the intense, most severe shampoo possible. Wiping away all of your sebum and drying out the scalp will only be temporary; your scalp.
Do not use too much shampoo to wash your hair. Use the shampoo directly on the scalp and just let the suds flow to the edges of your hair. Never apply the shampoo straight to the tips as the shampoo will wash off the oil that your hair tips need so much. Softly use your fingers or a pick to untangle any knots while your hair is drying.
Coloring your hair is another hair treatment choice. Void sleeping in hair accessories such as barrettes, scrunchies, head bands, etc. Never overclean your hair's tips and be careful in handling them. Wash the shampoo off carefully and wholly until it is not slippery any longer.

Hair Cutting Tips and Advice

Hair Cutting Tips and Advice

Hair that is one length all the way around is a plainspoken trim. Hair is a natural role of genetic makeup, but can also be considered the main ingredient that completes our look. Cutting wet hair (especially bangs) can result in a too-short style. It is also easier to cut clean hair. If your face is round, you want to decry fullness, and the most flattering styles will keep hair off your face.
Always use extremely sharp scissors. The type of shears you use is not that necessary as long as they are razor sharp. One of the most important hair cutting tips to need is your hair type. For multi-length hair, initiate with your bangs. Comb them straight, being cautious not to include side hairs. Don't attempt to trim too much length at once.
Maintaining shorter lengths for cutting (1/4-inch) keeps the hairs firmly in place as you cut. Ready the hair first by thoroughly combing or brushing out all the snarls and tangles. Thick hair and long hair may need to be wet first. Coarse and/or super-straight hair should presumably be left to the professionals. This hair shows no leniency and be forewarned; any mistake at all will be very noticeable. This type requires a trained hand/eye, patience, very sharp scissors and is definitely easier to be done by someone other than yourself anyhow.
One of the best ways to assure that you get best haircut, every time, is to give a good tip. If you have a long face, neglect the popular bob hairstyle, which draws attention to facial length-particularly in the chin area. Also remain away from short bangs and excess volume on top. If you have a square face, don't cut your hair too short.
Layers, attended by volume on the top and sides, soften your look. Length in the back consistently works, as do bangs-as long as they're soft and subtle. If your hair is all one length leaving out for the side angles, you will be working along the sides of your style only, front to nape.
Select a top layer or side piece of hair approximately the same size and thickness as you did for your bangs. This smaller amount is easiest to work with. Dealing with the back of your hair might seem crafty, but you'll get the hang of it. Not at all take but a little section at a time; very little when it's curly or really wavy, pulling it stiff from the scalp as you would do any haircut.
Straight hair is the most effortful to cut, since there's nowhere for mistakes to hide. Curly hair shortens the most after drying, betimes significantly.

Hair Cutting Tips

1. No, cutting thin or fine hair will not make it grow in thicker.
2. Curly hair shortens the most after drying, sometimes significantly.
3. Use the correct shampoo for your hair type. Not all hair is created equal.
4. Keep in mind that it will be shorter when it dries.
5. Curly hair shortens the most after drying, sometimes significantly.

Hair Washing - Way To Wash Your Hair

Hair Washing - Way To Wash Your Hair

Hair is part of your look. Hair is a remarkably tough material but over time abuse (excessive and wrongful misuse of anything) can wreak havoc (devastation ) with its natural properties. Hair plays a major role in defining the personality of any human being. Hair is possessed primarily of proteins (88%). These proteins are of a hard fibrous kind known as keratin. The first thing you should do is to comb the tangles out of the hair earlier you wet it so the hair would wash easily and the tangles would not decay.
When washing your hair, it is perfect if you get in the shower. Start by washing your hair to remove any leave-in conditioner or styling products. Wash your hair in hot or warm water to help remove dirt and build-up and to wash hair in cool water to close the cuticle and sum gloss. Apply a quarter sized dollop of shampoo and rub your hands together to disperse it. Apply the shampoo on your scalp, not the ends of your hair.
Concentrate on your hairline, nape and the edges of your hair, where it's required most. Many shampoos available in the drugstore have this ingredient as it is inexpensive and is what brings the shampoo to foam. It is an ingredient that some persons can be sensitive too. It is almost always the first constituent in many shampoos, which means the shampoo contains a lot of it. Do not pull or tug at the hair as the hair is at its most elegant when it is soaked.
When the extra water is out, apply a dollop of conditioner - mane event - and apply it along the hairline, the nape and the ends of the hair. Pile your hair then inside a shower cap and let the conditioner stay there for nearly ten minutes. And then, wash it off completely. When you wash your hair, you should consider applying shampoos that you find at natural food stores.
Some salon brands can make the cut, but you have to read labels to judge what ingredients they contain that may potentially irritate your scalp and skin. Actuate the coldest water you can stomach to rinse both your shampoo and conditioner. Always rinse for longer than you think is necessary - twice generally does the trick. And contrary to popular opinion, giving your hair a blast with cold water doesn't add any extra shine. Patting your hair softly with a towel and then letting it dry normally is ideal.
Check the hair frm and turn off the dryer when the hair is still slightly damp because completely drying out all the moisture will lead to split ends, breakage and brittleness. Apply a generous amount (half-dollar size dollop or more for longer hair) to make sure your hair is fully protected.

Hair Washing Tips

1. Wash your hair every day
2. Use shampoo according to your hair length.
3. Avoid using a blow dryer. Let your hair air-dry.
4. Apply gel or lotion and use the brush smoothly in one direction, always comb from the bottom.
5. Do not move the hair around too much.
6. Do not comb wet hair, as they damage hair. Massage your hair well.
