بوسہ لینے سے منہ اور گردن کا کینسر ہوسکتا ہے، تحقیق

کینبرا: کبھی سگریٹ اور شراب نوشی کو کینسر کی بڑی وجہ جانا جاتا تھا لیکن اب مغربی معاشروں کی آزاد خیالی اور جنسی بے راہ روی انہیں کینسر کے نئے میدان میں کھینچ لائی ہے اسی لیے آسٹریلوی محققین نے خبردار کیا ہے کہ بوسہ لینے سے کینسر جیسی جان لیوا بیماری ایک سے دوسرے شخص تک منتقل ہو سکتی ہے اور یہ سگریٹ نوشی سے بھی زیادہ تیزی سے پھیلتی ہے۔

آسٹریلیا میں کی جانے والی تحقیق میں کہا گیا ہے کہ بوسہ لینے سے منہ اور گردن میں پھیلنے والا  ’پاپیل لوما‘ وائرس (ایچ پی وی) ایک انسان سے دوسرے انسان میں منتقل ہو کر کینسر کا باعث بن جاتا ہے۔ تحقیق کے بانی اور رائل ڈارون اسپتال کے شعبہ میکسیکوفیشل اور ہیڈ اینڈ نیک سرجری کے انچارج ڈاکٹر تھامس کا کہنا ہے کہ منہ اور گردن کے کینسر کے 70 فیصد بیماریاں اسی وائرس سے پیدا ہوتی ہیں۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ جب کوئی شخص ایچ پی وی سے متاثر ہوتا ہے تو اس متاثرہ شخص میں کینسر کا خطرہ 250 فیصد بڑھ جاتا ہے جب کہ یہ گردن کے حصے اوروفیرنکس میں بننے والا یہ وائرس مرد اور خاتون دونوں کوہی متاثر کرتا ہے۔

تحقیق میں کہا گیا ہے کہ کینسر کی 100 سے بھی زائد اقسام ہوتی ہیں جن میں سے 8 اقسام ایچ وی پی سے گردن میں جنم لیتی ہیں۔ سینٹر فار ڈی سیز کنٹرول ایند پروی وینشن کا کہنا ہے کہ تحقیق سے یہ بات سامنے آئی ہے کہ منہ کے ذریعے پھیلنے والا کینسر یعنی ایچ وی پی بوسہ لینے کے دوران منتقل ہوتا ہے جب کہ ڈاکٹر تھامس نے خبردار کیا ہے کہ بغیر کسی خواہش کے بوسہ لینے سے بھی ایچ وی پی ایک دوسرے میں منتقل ہوسکتا ہے۔ تحقیق کے مطابق صرف امریکا میں کینسر کی 70 فیصد کیسز ایچ وی پی کی وجہ سے ہوئے اس لیے اس طرز عمل کو بدلنے کی ضرورت ہے۔

ڈاکٹر تھامس نے اس کینسر کی مزید وضاحت کرتے ہوئے خبردار کیا ہے کہ ایچ وی پی کینسر کو گردن اور منہ کے کینسر کا سونامی کہا جائے تو بے جا نہ ہوگا۔

Ravi Bopara breaks fastest 50s record in T20 against Australia

 

HOBART: England all-rounder Ravi Bopara has broken the fastest half-century record of his teammate player Paul Collingwood after smashing 7 outclass sixes against Australia in the first Twent20 at Bellerive Oval.
Bopara has become the first English batsman scoring 65 runs in just 23 balls against Kangaroos.
Collingwood had made the fastest half-century in 24 balls against New Zealand on February 7 in 2008.
Bopara has broken sixes record of his teammate player Luke Wright, who had hit 6 sixes against Afghanistan on September 21 in 2012 in Colombo.

Katich helps keep Hampshire on course for double

LONDON  – Former Australia batsman Simon Katich scored an unbeaten 47 as Hampshire beat south coast rivals Sussex by eight wickets in the semi-finals of English county cricket’s 40-over competition on Saturday.

Victory kept Hampshire on course for a one-day double following their victory over Yorkshire in the domestic Twenty20 final in Cardiff last weekend.

Hampshire will face Warwickshire in the Lord’s final on September 15 after the Midlands county saw off Lancashire by 23 runs in Manchester on Saturday.

Luke Wright made a superb 122 for Sussex at Hove but could not prevent the hosts collapsing from 195 for three to 199 for eight as Zimbabwe’s Sean Ervine took three for 36 and promising spinner Danny Briggs, a member of England’s World Twenty20 squad, two for 32.

Fifties from Michael Carberry and James Vince saw Hampshire’s reply get off to a strong start and any hope of a Sussex recovery was stifled by Katich, who faced 60 balls with four fours, and Jimmy Adams (44 not out).
