Vulvodynia Information and Treatment

Vulvodynia Information and Treatment

Vulvodynia or vulvar pain syndrome is a multifactoral medical syndrome of vulvar pain, and psychological grieve.

Vulvodynia is more common in white women. There are two main subkinds of vulvodynia, and they are not always easy to distinguish from each other : Vulvar Vestibulitis Syndrome ,Generalized Vulvodynia. The pain is often delineated as burning or stinging, or a feeling of rawness or irritation. Vulvodynia is different from itching or vulvar pruritus.

Vulvodynia actually prevents itching because the burning and pain cause an intolerance to scratching. Vulvodynia is classified by chronic discomfort in the vulvar region; the discomfort may range from mild to severe and debilitating. In many cases of vulvodynia, pain happens spontaneously.

Vulvodynia, also known as vulvar dysesthesia, figuratively means pain, or an unpleasant altered sensation, in the vulva. Vulvodynia occurs in adult women during the mid-20's to late 60's. Vulvodynia is no more or less common in women whom have or had one or more partners. The pain has lasted for months. You're so constrained you can hardly sit.

If you or someone you know is living with vulvodynia, don't falter to get help. The incidence and routineness of vulvodynia have not been well studied. The incidence of vulvodynia is not known but it is fairly more common than is generally thought.
